Code p0171 for 1996 ford ranger 2.3L xl 4cyl help?

was running rough in idle i would give gas and it would get stuck in higher rpm check engine light came after awhile and it started running fine all on its own hooked up computer reader and got code p0171 system to lean bank 1 cant find a vacuum leak anywhere could it be the IAC or EGR valve?
