Quick fixes to get my 2003 Ford Expedition to start?
I have a 2003 Ford Expedition with 180,470 miles on it and a v8 engine. At first it cut off a few times when I was at a red light with my foot on the brake. Then last week it cut off again when I was driving on a 50 MPh highway. The truck was slowing down as my foot was still on the gas. Each time, I took the key from the off position and turned it to the on position 4 times. Then I pressed the panic button on the key chains mini remote of the trucks alarm system twice. Then turned the key and it would start right up. 4 days ago I was in a car accident where another car going about 30 MPH made an illegal lane change and hit my truck on the drivers side front door. There were no dents or damages to my truck. It started up with no problem and drove with no issues. Everyday after the accident I had no issues with it. It didn't cut off, started up and drove fine. Yesterday I drove around all morning and I got home and parked it. I came out a hour later and it wouldn't start. It cranks when I turn the key but it won't turn over. I've tried starting it in neutral, checked the battery, checked the fuses, and hooked it up to a diagnostic machine. The code said there is no power getting to the fuel pump. Is there an easy way to get it to start so I can drive it to a mechanic? Where is the fuel kill switch located? I've read that its on the front passenger side under the carpet, behind the kick-start. A little red button but I can't find it. Can someone explain where I can find it?
