Is Francis Ford Coppola A Good Director?

I think so, he did good films

The Godfather (1972) is my favourite film and The Godfather Part II (1974) and Apocalypse Now (1979) are among my favourite films

The Conversation (1973) and Dracula (1992) were quite good too

The Godfather Part III (1990) was a disappointment.

He made Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, John Cazale, James Can and maybe Robert Duvall all famous, they probably would not have been famous if they hadn't appeared in The Godfather, sure Can and Duvall did films before but not huge like The Godfather was.

It could be argued that Robert De Niro became famous by appearing in Tue Godfather Part II (1974) it was an early role and did win an Oscar for it, but he had appeared in Mean Streets (1973) before, that may have set up the legendary De Niro-Scorsese actor/director partnership.
