What could be wrong with my 2008 Ford Escape?
Added (1). First off, I know very little about cars, so I will try and explain the issue as best as I can. I noticed yesterday after travelling uphill behind a slow vehicle it had trouble getting back up to speed. Later that day, a light came on my dash (wrench symbol). It has trouble accelerating where the speedometer only goes to 40, and then slowly drops. While the RPM is like 3 when trying to accelerate. I am taking it to the dealer on Monday and they will need to scope it. Does anyone have any idea wh
Added (2). . Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? My fear is the transmission. I know Ford had a recall on there Electric Power Steering (EPS), could it be related?
Any advice and insight would be helpful.
This car was bought used at a reputable dealer, there is no warranty anymore. It was purchased about 5-6 years ago.
