My 2001 ford taurus has had problems starting. It will work sometimes, but every once in a while it just ticks rapidly. Sometimes it will fix itself and start, but sometimes won't start until the next day. I removed the starter, took it to napa and the test said it works fine. Could this be because it was intermittently working before, or would the test know if it was broken either way?
