I have a 99 ford contour se. Its the 2.0L 4 Cylinder. It started having a misfire on cylinder four. I sprayed brake cleaner inside the cylinders and the spark plug wires as well as cleaning the spark plugs. It ran fine afterwards for a while yesterday, but now I'm getting oil on the spark plugs again. I've already replaced the valve cover gasket and the timing belt. Could it be the spark plug wires? The car has 231,000 miles on it and they've never been changed out. Could it maybe be a bad coil? Anything helps. I REFUSE to get rid of the car. I'm rebuilding it and it's the car my grandfather gave me, so it means a lot to me. Thank you.
