On 2002 ford explorer 4.6l the spark plug is drowning in fluid?

Happen before on rear cylinder #4 w/ antifreeze from crack in upper intake manifold drowning out the spark plug. So I replaced it, now #2 is doing it, but it seems more like water than antifreeze. It does seem to happen when wet or rainy out. Could it be possible to get that much water up to the top of the engine to settle around my worn out seal for a spark plug boot?
