Im 19 years old and ive been trying to find a car for 6k on craigslist for awhile. Ive been looking since summer and am not finding anything that I think is worth it because I have worked awhile to save that much. I have no credit, and I dont think I have anyone that would co-sign for me. All I really want is a newer car like a ford focus or something, not fancy but just basic and efficient. I was wondering if I should put a 6k down payment on a car and pay it off. How low do you think my payments be on maybe a 2012 focus? Or a nice basic car. And do you think, being my age, if I should just spend my 6k on a car on craigslist or whatever instead of having a payment? Also my job is not stable with hours but I get about 15-20 hours a week and I babysit once in awhile. Let me know what you think! Thanks:)
