I have a 2004 Ford Freestyle and I noticed today my RPM gauge has been acting funny. When I turn the car on, rather sitting just above 0 it is sitting at one. When I start to accelerate it would normally go up to a 2 but instead it is going to almost 3. It is an older car with 150k miles on it. I am not car savy in any way but I want to know what could possibly cause this and if it will be an expensive fix or not.
