First Car For Teen in New York City with a Learners Permit?

So We shifted to New York City few months ago, And Im turning 16 soon and I could get my learners permit. Im sure I will pass it because Its not my first time driving, I have driven like over 100+ times. In my country you get learners permit from 14.5 and get a restricted license at 15. The Only Sad part is I have never driven a car that has a drivers seat at left, which it is in usa. It was in the right in my place. I never owned a car, Either its my Dad car I used to take to School or my Moms Car. My Mom is going to be with me in the car all the time as it requires someone over 21 licensed to supervise my drive. I have made out a list and talked with her, She agreed on everything but it should be a car within $17000 or less. The Insurance Is going to be on her name/profile. My list contains:

1) 2013 Scion FR-S [USED]
2) Ford Mustang V6 2010 [USED]
3) Mazda RX8 [USED, But should be high on mileage as Its an old car]
4) Nissan 350Z [USED]

We had 3 cars in my place, I usually used to drive my Mom's Camry most of the times, and sometimes my dad's wrx sti but I got to drive it really rare after I got caught speeding in that car. I would have kept a wrx in my list but they are too damn expensive. My Mom would be driving my car too for at least 3 months before she gets a nice car for herself. I plan to keep the car until I graduate High School, and get a full license at 17 with drivers education after getting my junior license.
