Ford Edge Change Engine Oil Soon?

My Ford Edge (2014, 3.5 L) displayed a warning "Change Engine Oil Soon." I last had the oil changed in December 2014. I don't drive much and have gone only 861 miles. I am thinking of leaving the oil change for another few hundred miles, maybe until the autumn. Should this be OK? Any comment or suggestions?
