Ford Focus 2010 1.6 Diesel starting problem?

Added (1). Went to start my car the other day and there was no power at all, central locking wouldnt work, no lights on dashboard, no headlights, completely dead, took battery out and recharged overnight, replaced and now have power but car won't start. I get a click when i turn the key but it wont turn over. I get an error message on the dashboard in a triangle saying "Transmission Malfunction", any ideas why it wont start?
