Trading in newer car for older one?

I have a 2008 ford edge se. It has 114000 miles and just below fair condition. It needs cosmetic work but everything else is fine. I want to trade it in because i owe 3900 left on the loan through my bank. I m paying 250 dollars a month to insure it and now I have to go to court because I got into a little accident. So my rates are going to be even higher if I dont get the points knocked off. I m seeing on the internet 2008 ford edge se are going anywhere from 5000-10000. I m planning on moving to arizona, i currently live in michigan. I want sedan but something that can tow up to 1500 pounds and up. I ve been looking at this 1999 grand marquis it seems like it will make the trip and will last for a long time. Any suggestions?
