What is wrong with my truck? - 1

any help would be appreciated…1990 ford f150 302 v8 truck started acting up couple weeks ago, sometimes after starting my truck and putting in reverse it just dies and will do it almost everytime unless I press the gas pedal before putting in reverse, when driving its chugging/jerking when ever the gas pedal is pressed, when let off it stops but as soon as foot on gas pedal it starts again, taking off from a light or stop sign it wont go it tries to die but I wont let it, new duel fuel tank switch sep 2013, new fuel pump nov 2013, fuel filter good. Eventually after couple minutes of chugging or getting to higher speeds (50) it chills out and acts normal but its eating gas like crazy… Any one got any ideas… Thanks in advance
