2001 Ford Explorer not starting, weird clicking noise coming from a black box above gas pedal?

have a 2001 Ford Explorer that won t start. When I turn the key nothing at all lights up. It is completely dead. It will stay started if I boost it, but will be completely dead as soon as I turn it off again. We just replaced the battery and alternator. Also, when the truck is off (not sure about running) there is a fluttery clicking noise every few seconds coming from a black box (or it seems to coming from it) right above the gas pedal. Any help would be appreciated
Added (1). Ok. So I took out a part that has F57B-14B192 AA from the black box by the pedals and the licking stopped… Any ideas?
