Should I purchase the new 2015 Fiat 500 Pop Automatic?

Currently I own a 2012 Ford Focus, but I have gotten fed up with the hesitation and choppy driving. I recently saw a 2015 Fiat 500 and fell in love and I would like to purchase It next year around my birthday, but I have been reading reviews about its performance and people say that the FIAT 500 is a crappy car and that the automatic fuel economy is garbage. I am beginning to back out of my decision but I really love the look of this car!
