Is there a Turbocharger kit made to fit a 96 Ford Thunderbird LX 3.8L?

I recently bought a 96 Thunderbird and want to give it some more power. I've heard that this particular model wasn't made for turbo's, so the engine won't last while using one. I was curious if anyone has had more extensive experience on this rather than just answering by theory.

Either way, which turbo kit will fit? I'll probably add one anyway.
