Small Block Chevy in Ford Ranchero?

First off, this isn't any offense to Ford guys, I'm on a tight budget and everything for Chevy is cheaper. I'm thinking about getting this 1961 Ford Ranchero, chopped, bagged. It's really cheap but doesn't have a motor or trans. I don't know Ford's at all, but I know a lot about older GM stuff. And I have this 327 Small Block sitting in my garage with a TH350 trans. I'm wondering if the 1961 Ranchero can fit the small block Chevy and the TH350. And if I'd need to modify the driveshaft, weld in a crossmember to fit the transmission, etc. Thanks!
