How much horsepower does a truck need to pull 1,000 pounds of weight?

How much horsepower is required to pull 1,000 pounds? A dually can haul an extra 1,000 lbs because the two tires on each side at the back of the truck simulate wider tires. This is why I am asking. My older brother wants to get a dually 2002 Ford F350 and we both know that dually trucks can pull 1,000 pounds more than a single wheel truck.
