Leaving the scene of an minor accident. What to expect at court?
so pretty much got into a minor accident while i was unisured.
I was coming from the library on a rainy day cause i had to go be home to wait for my little brother to get off the bus. But when i was on my way home, I was driving up the road and a green van that was stopped quickly switch to the right lane, had me end up hydroplaning into another person silver 98 ford car just giving my hood a lil dent and righthead cover cracked. I couldnt stop the car enough in time. So i end up rearing them,Everything was minor. My first accident, Never had a record, had insurance when i first got the car, couldnt keep up with the payment so i let my car lapse cause i was switching insurance and my insurance dont take full effect on a thursday. But i end up panicking, scared and i had to get home before my bother bus come within 8 mins, also to mention this happen two block away from my house on the road, So i end up leaving scene having no knowledge i wasnt suppose to leave until the cop came around my house 7 min later after bother got off the bus and my mom pick him up after coming off from work. The officer ask me if was "Blah blah" i answer politely and did exactly what i was told, i show him my ID and registration. Gave my honest to the cop, he respect my honesty. But the other cop the investigating officer came and i ask me what happen. I told him aswell, i got arrested. Got to show up to court in two weeks for PTA. What am i suppose to expect?
