Will tires from a 2005 Ford Explorer fit a 1999 Ford Ranger with 4x4? Does 2WD versus 4WD make a difference?

I found a set of 235/75R15 rims and tires off a 2005 Ford Explorer. Being a Ford, I figure the Explorer should fit the Ranger just fine, as 235/75R15 s are a common size tire on Ranger s too. And they are 5-lug pattern on both. However, I didn t know if having a 4x4 Ranger as opposed to a 2x4 would create some problems mounting on the front hubs. And, because my 1999 has the PVH system, it will need manual locking hubs anyway, so I m not sure if center bore size will also cause an issue.

Will these fit without any hassle?

Thanks.
