My new battery is draining too fast in my car, why this?

My battery and alternator in my ford probe is new but it drains really fast after I drink only a few times but when I read online it says that I should be able to crank for 10 minutes I crank for far less than 10 minutes in the battery dies. What could cause it to die fast? There is no parasitic drain. Could the starter be bad, drawing too much amps
