Why am I getting terrible MPG in my 2010 Ford Fusion?

Why am I getting terrible MPG in my 2010 Ford Fusion? - 1
Added (1). I have a 2010 Ford Fusion with the 2.5 i4 and after every fill up it says that i averaged like 18-20 mpg. How is this possible when the average MPG for the 2010 fusion is like 26MPG. Can somebody help me figure this out please!
