What do you think cars would be like now if more engine types would have been offered over the years?

Let's face it. Back during the late 1800's and early 1900's (rich) people had the option to buy either an electric, steam or gasoline car. But with the Ford Model T, the prices for a car became one sided, which made the gasoline car the most popular, and soon electric and steam vehicle technologies were practically abandoned.

What do you think cars would be like today had steam and/or electric vehicle technologies not been abandoned.

Electric cars are starting to make a comeback, but had they not been abandoned for so long, would they now have better ranges? Would there be a better charging info structure?

Would steam cars be more efficient? Would they be able to produce fewer emissions than internal combustion engines do today?

What about other technologies such as the stirling engine or the liquid nitrogen motor?

What if gasoline engines hadn't become the popular form of power? Would there be the vast gasoline filling station info structure we have today?

What motorized vehicle technology would you like to be developed and made available and why?
