1983 FORD RANGER DASH LIGHTS?

I have a 1983 ford ranger, I come on here when I cannot find something out about it, The dash lights do not come on and I don't know why everything else works except the dash lights, I don't understand, I haven't checked any fuses yet I will do that tomorrow, but I dont think that is the case since it is wired to the headlights which work perfectly fine, thanks!
