How many miles is too high on newer used truck to buy?
We found the perfect truck we want with all the bells and whistles like navigation, complete tow package, heated/AC seats in front and back, ecoboost engine with 16/21mpg. It's a 2013 Ford F-150 4x4 King Ranch edition with everything we want on it to make us keep the bugger for a LONG time. We test drove the truck even before the dealer had time to detail it on it's trade in, but even not being professionally detailed it's in great condition, and rides like a dream. Only problem is… It already has 93k miles on it, and it's a 2013. Granted, we live out here in Arizona/California so they're highway miles, but still, that's hiiiigh for a 3/4 year old vehicle. I have no idea what kind of mileage trucks are capable of handling, so is it a totally ridiculous idea to buy this one with such high mileage? We're very gentle on our vehicles, get them serviced every 3 months and put about 11k miles on our current car a year. We can get the truck for $25k, which is the best we've been able to find price wise. So truck people, worth it, or incredibly stupid idea? Any info would be great!
