Which kind of stalker and I dealing with here? How well do the police know about stalkers and advice?

I've been stalked and still am being stalked since last october. I'm a male. The Individual stalking me Is a homosexual, In his 50's. There are 7 Incidents In order.

1. This guy approached me on the street I was walking and he had a dark blue Ford f 150. He asked me very personal questions and came off as homosexual. He also beeped at me.

2. I was walking near a walmart, I see this guy coming In my direction with his truck, so I go Into the Wal-Mart parking lot, after a bit I leave and don't see him.

3.I'm walking with a family member, this guy looks, but keeps driving down the road and doesn't make a u turn

4. He followed me up and down the street 3 times, while keeping very close distance. I ran Into a store and called for a ride home.

.5. On a Saturday afternoon, this guy, was waiting for me for an hour and a half at my gym. I spotted him with black binoculars. Luckily my ride was there.

6. I see him again on a Saturday, he drives past me and says Uh Huh. In an excited way, like I found you.

7. On a Saturday, I went to workout, I saw his truck go In the direction I was walking. Little did I know I was being watched, spied on. When I took the city bus home, this guy drove past me and gave me two middle fingers. He followed my bus stop. I got away fine.

I'm Involved with a sargeant. He can't help me because I dont have the plates to the truck. Just the truck and description. I'm scared to get the plates. This guy may kill me. Any advice? I have mace and a Huge stick.
