Engine pinging and very poor acceleration?
My wife's 2002 Ford Mustang 3.8 v6 with around 151,000 miles on it is having some issues that I can't quite pinpoint. First off when accelerating between 2,000-3,000 RPM there is a pinging noise which I'm assuming is spark knock. Also while (attempting) to accelerate it jerks, chokes, sputters, spits etc and has a really hard time getting up to speed. It also idles extremely rough during a cold start. I have replaced the following items already
1) spark plugs
2) EGR valve
3) DPFE sensor
4) air filter
5) fuel filter
I've also ran some Lucas oil injector cleaner through it ONCE to no avail. There is no codes, the only code it had went away after installing a new EGR valve.
