Ford KA 2011 or Mini One 2005?

For a young driver which car would you go for - Ive had a 2003 mini cooper for the last year but I now need a new car as my current mini needs replacing due to being in a non-fault accident.

Has anyone got any helpful pointers to help me make a decision.
