What could cause my car to not stay running?

I have a 99 ford contour. 4cylinder 2.0L. It cranks but will not stay running unless hitting the gas pedal. No check engine light. New MAF and Camshaft sensors. Got the car in feb and had new plugs and oil change. Could it be a clogged cat?
