Help with a car decision?

Hello everyone, I currently own a 2009 VW Jetta with a 2.5L 5 cylinder engine. It currently has 140,000 miles and it's pure highway miles.
I recently had a problem with it with an intake air system leak and had to replace the ignition coils, the spark plugs because it came up with those codes. But the issue wasn't related with the ignition coils or spark plugs at all! It was the PCV valve diaphragm and another gasket inside the valve cover. Point being I'm afraid of having to deal with any bigger issues on a German car. Luckily a family friend who is a mechanic fixed it for 95 bucks. The car runs as good as new even when the ignition coils or spark plugs weren't needing to be replaced but now they are new too. I wanted to get an opinion on wether or not it's best to sell it (in very good condition, engine is clean and has been well maintained with its oil) and buy another car where the parts won't be as expensive as a German vehicle. I was thinking in the lines of a Honda Toyota or Nissan, but what about a ford or Chevy sedan? I'm into sedans currently because I always have family with me and I use it as a daily driver. What advice would you guys and gals be able to share with me about my current situation? Should I wait and save up money and then sell the car? Or keep the car meantime since it's running great again. Thanks guys!
