I'm only 15. I was on campus at the university of saskatchewan. I was with some friends when I got lost. I phone my cousin who goes to the university and told me to phone for a safewalk. I called for a safewalk and it was a university peace officer that show up. He talked to me and i told him that i'm a visitor and I got lost. He told me he will take me to my destination. He told me he needs to search me so i leaned on the car so he can search me then he told me that I will have to sit in backseat of his patrol car. He also asked for my ID. I was wearing hightops and a pair of those Adidas skinny soccer trackpants and a hoodie from my junior high school. He told me before i got in the backof the car that I will be video recorded sitting there. There was a barrier between me and the officer, window bars and i was sitting on a hard plastic seat. It was a Ford Taurus patrol car.
My question is
1. Why did he ask my ID
2. Why did he do a patdown on me and told me that I will haveto sit at the back of the car. Did wearing the hoodie and track pants make me look sketchy?
3. Why did he tell me that I will he recorded sitting at the back of the car.
4. Why did he make me sit at the back behind the cage and the hard plastic backseat? Did i get any nasty germs on my clothes from sitting there?
5. Why do they have the hard plastic backseat.
6. Do you think the officer went extreme? Asking ID and the pat down? I wouldnt mind sitting at the back. I was only there for 5-10 minutes
