What all do I need to be aware of when building up my '06 Mustang GT to 800-900 HP?
Hello. I drive an '06 Ford Mustang GT 4.6L. I'm by no means an automotive expert. I'm somewhat new to the hobby but am learning all that I can and have a lot of experienced friends to guide me. My current issue is that I don't know what the whole drive assembly (Axels, driveshaft, ect.) are rated at stock. I don't know if they will fail or break apart when my car hits those high levels of power.
I currently have it supercharged with a Kenne Bell 2.6L V3 Model TS pushing 8.5 Lbs of boost. I already know how to hit 800 HP by kicking up the boost to 19 lbs, replacing the engine internals with forged components and getting a new set of cams.
So my questions are what are the drive assembly (I'm sorry I don't know what its called, the axels, driveshaft ect. Basically anything that can break under extreme power) rated at? Can the stock components handle 800 HP? My second question is will the engine block be able to contain everything without cracking or otherwise breaking?
Thank you very much for your time.
