I've been a banker at First Merit for almost 2 years and I am trying to get a car loan for 17,500.00 to buyout my leased 2013 Ford Focus. I've had the car for 12 months and have NEVER been late or missed so much as a penny on that payment. I checked my credit score and it meets First Merit's standards (must have score of 640 or over in order to even apply, mine is a 660) the only downside is that my last job was only for 7 months and that's because of so many lay offs so I switched to my current job a month ago. I'm worried that since I haven't had a good job history that I may not get the loan and it's been three hours and I still haven't heard anything.
