05 Ford Explorer A/C problem…What could be the issue?

I have 2005 ford explorer. My A/C compressor works my vents blow there is freon in the system. But when I turn my ac on it only blows hot air. Now I took it to pepboys and they guy said its a electrical problem with my climate control knob. Thats pretty much all he said. What could be the issue then?
