Should I buy a car with a water salvage title?

I'm going to college this fall and my current car went to crap and doesn't work so I need a new car. I was looking at ford and they have a Chevy Malibu 2009 for only $6,500 but it has a salvage title due to water damage (not flood damage). Is it worth it to buy?! I need a car really bad
