Is Mercury Grand Marquis/Ford Crown Vic a good 1st car?

Hey there, looking for a first car and I am really interested in a Grand Marquis/Ford Crown Vic and want to know opinions on the car as a 1st car and in general. They seem to be well maintained and used lightly by a generally older crowd. Opinions? Thanks in advance.
