Oil pressure - in my dashboard - CAR OIL CHANGE -?

i am getting the below message in my dashboard. Mine is a 10 yrs old ford card

LOW OIL PRESSURE.

could the above be due to ENGINE OIL due to be replaced. Or oil gone old or bad.

i jut recently changed oil - its a 5k miles synthetic oil.
