2013 Ford Fusion vs Subaru Outback: Which is better on snow and more reliable?

2013 Ford Fusion Titanium AWD vs 2011 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited AWD

Which is better for a 19 year old and can handle the intense Michigan winters? Both are fully loaded and have a little over 100k miles on them. Here are my top priorities, in order:

1. Reliability
2. Good on snow and ice (especially ice)
3. Low cost of ownership
4. Easy to drive for a new, young driver
