Should I replace the factory speakers on my new 2016 chevy truck?
I bought a new 2016 Chevy Silverado fresh off the lot. It has chevy mylink system on it with a 8 inch display with out the premium Bose sound. I was really excited to finally afford to buy a new truck that I decided to crank up the volume and it sounded amazing but then after 10 min of higher volume music the sound got distorted (a cracking faded sound) specially with higher pitched parts of the music. I turned down the volume of course and it s sounded better no distortion (oviesly), then let it rest for a fee minutes then cranked up the volume and it sounded good but after 10 more minutes of higher volume the return of the (distortion of doom) came back. It aways does this when I first turn on the truck and listen to music at higher volume it s sounds good how I like it but then after 10 min or so distortion comes back. I m assuming the speakers are not blown because it sounds good at first so I am thinking that the factory speakers are not up to part with the mylink stereo. My question is that with replacing the factory speakers with higher watt aftermarket speakers fix the issue or are my speakers just faulty because I have never heard of this issue from nobody else with a new car. I really appreciate if anybody can give me some advice. Thank you community!
