CAR ALARM GOES OFF BY ITSELF?

So yesterday my husband and I purchased a used 2011 Ford Escape from a pre-owned dealership. It runs well, everything is good but sometimes a the car alarm goes off by itself. We're gonna call our dealership in a bit but does anyone know why this could be happening? Thank you!
