Will the crown Vic motor fit in my mustang?

I have a 2004 Ford Mustang gt. It has the 4.6 sohc and the vin digit is X. The motor I have is a 4.6 out of a 2004 ford crown Vic police interceptor. But the vin digit is a w. Will this work with my car? I can't get a straight answer and salvage yards don't know the answer
