PARTICIPANTS NEEDED FOR PSYCHOLOGICAL STUDY: ‘INVESTIGATING BELIEFS ABOUT SEXUAL BEHAVIOURS

You are invited to take part in an anonymous on-line questionnaire study investigating people’s beliefs about sexual behaviour and sexual harassment. To be eligible to participate you must be at least 18 years old. You are warned that the questionnaires contain sensitive and potentially upsetting questions about your beliefs regarding sexual behaviours, including sexual harassment, non-consensual sex, and sexual assault. You will also be asked to provide information about your age, identified gender, and number of close female friends.

The study will be conducted entirely on-line and should take no longer than fifteen minutes to complete. Findings from the study will help to improve our understanding of attitudes to sexual harassment and attitudes to sexual assault.

This research is being conducted by Charlotte Speed for the purposes of her 3rd year dissertation at Anglia Ruskin University (charlotte.speed@student.anglia.ac.uk). It is being supervised by Dr Ruth Ford (ruth.ford@anglia.ac.uk).

The study has received ethical approval by the psychology departmental research ethics panel (DREP) and ratified by the faculty research ethics panel under the terms of Anglia Ruskin University’s policy and code of practice for the conduct of research with human participants.
