Long bed - Dual tanks with switch on dash
The front tank works fine but first some reason when I switch to the rear tank it stalls out. If I leave it idling on rear tank it'll sit about 10 minutes give or take before stalling out. If I start driving, it happens within second. Previous owner said he replaced fuel pump in rear tank, not sure if he replaced the pick up strainer or not, I'd assume so. From what I can tell it has a SINGLE in-line fuel filter so I know it's not a clog or it would stall on both tanks. The gas guage for rear tank reads correctly. It's not the switch on dash. When switched to rear tank and key is turned I can hear the rear fuel pump priming for a second as it should.
Any ideas as to why the rear tank doesn't function properly? Possibly faulty wiring? Bad pump even though it's new? Clog in line? Could use another brain on this! Thanks!
