So long story short, I drive an 2009 Ford Escape. I have been having ignition troubles lately, but I've thought nothing of it.
Anyway, tonight I went to start my car and a small fire started under my hood. I immediately screamed for my boyfriend to come and help, and luckily with a hose we were able to put it out quickly.
He said what was burning was the fuse box, and the battery looks like part of it was burned as well. I called my dealer, and a tow truck will be here in the morning.
Question is… Will my car be salvageable salvageable? I'm guessing repairs are going to cost quite a lot… Anyone have an idea?
